PECKINPAH, David S. (1925-1984). American film director and screen writer. His 1969 film The Wild Bunch received two Academy Award nominations. He was given the name “Bloody Sam” because of the violence in is films. He later changed his name to Sam Peckinpah. Rare personal check, 6.5”x3” filled in in type, dated January 20, 1960, made payable to David S. Peckinpah for $248.85. Signed David S. Peckinpah on both the front and verso.
