GACY, John Wayne (1942-May 10, 1994). American serial killer who is also known as the “Killer Clown.” He was convicted of sexual assault and murder of at least 33 teenage boys and young men. The killings took place between 1972 and 1978, in the Chicago area. Twenty-six of Gacy’s victims were buried in a crawl space under his home. Three others were buried on his property and the last four were dumped in the Des Plains River. Gacy was convicted of the 33 murders and sentenced to death for 12 of them. He spent 14 years on death row before being executed by lethal injection. Color photograph of Patches the Clown. Half length pose, smiling. Measures 3.5”x5”. Very boldly signed on the front. On the verso Gacy has written, in ink, “5/22/90, Hi Steve, From Patches the Clown as seen 1979 Life Feb 79 taken June 1976 in the Rec room of the Summerdale House, John Wayne Gacy.” Excellent content mentioning the Summerdale House, Very few of the photographs were signed on the front making this photograph, extra desirable. In very fine condition. These Photographs with writing on the verso are becoming rather uncommon. Illustraion of verso shown here appears to be light. Not so on original, writing on original is fine and normal............................$1875.00
