GACY, John Wayne #49. (1942-May 10, 1994). American serial killer who is also known as the “Killer Clown”. He was convicted of sexual assault and murder of at least 33 teenage boys and young men. The killings took place between 1972 and 1978 in the Chicago area. Twenty-six of Gacy’s victims were buried in a crawl space under his home. Three others were buried on his property and the last four were dumped in the Des Plains River. Gacy was convicted of the 33 murders and sentenced to death for 12 of them. He spent 14 years on death row before being executed by lethal injection. Typed letter signed on his desirable prison letterhead, John Wayne Gacy NOO924 Execute JUSTICE....Not...People!!! dated August 5th, 1990. To Patricia Claren of Montclair, New Jersey. This letter is chock full of information and thanks Pat and her order for Patches the Clown. He touches on many subjects including, what is unique about my paintings, mentions two clown heads, and the HiHo collectors series. He discusses what is the trademark of his work, “I would guess some would say it matches my outspokenness, I say what I think and believe, so I am not very tackful…Just like now this damn typewriter is acting up as its skipping.....and making a mess of my letters. That’s what I get for having a German typewriter.” Much more and signed “John” as usual on most all of his letters. Fantastic content and in fine condition................$495.00
