FORD, Gerald R. (1913-2006). 38th President of the United States (1974-1977). As Vice-President he acceded to the Presidency upon the resignation of Richard Nixon. Signed with a very desirable and early signature “Gerald R. Ford Jr. 5th Michigan.” It was in this year that Ford voted for the Civil Rights Act.
