Sarah T. Hughes (1896-1985). Federal Judge who administered the
presidential Oath of Office to Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson
on Air Force One. She is the only woman in history to have sworn
in a United States President. In 1961, John F. Kennedy appointed
her to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

green paper. The signature was clipped by the collector from
a The White House letter, therefore signed as President.
 2) Signature of Lyndon B. Johnson
on light green paper. The same collector cut this signature from
a The White House letter, therefore signed as President.
3) First Day Cover issuing the 5 cent John F. Kennedy stamp.
The cover is a "In Memoriam John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Thirty-fifth
president of the United States of America" nice engraved
cachet on the left. JFK stamp canceled First day of Issue, Boston,
May 29, 1964. Boldly signed "Sarah T. Hughes."
4) Black & white copy of the photograph ofLyndon B. Johnson
being sworn in as president of the United States by Judge Sarah
T. Hughes.
A wonderful collection of two scarce signatures signed as President
of the United States. The four item would make a wonderful set
