Very Rare Signature of Capt. Peter Jackson
JACKSON, Captain Peter (1922-2008) Master of the Queen Elizabeth 2. The QE2 was changed from a luxury cruise ship to a troop carrier during the Falklands War. The war began on April 2, 1982 and lasted 74 days. In total the QE2 travelled around the world 25 times and crossed the Atlantic over 800 times. She made her last voyage in November 1982 after being sold to the United Arab Emirates. Jackson’s voyages during the Falklands War with the QE2 remains one of the most famous merchant vessel operations in modern British Naval history. A color postcard of the QE2.
