Albert
DeSalvo (1931-1973). Infamous serial killer known as "The
Boston Strangler," confessed to being the "Boston Strangler",
the murderer of 13 women in the Boston area. DeSalvo was never
charged with the "Strangler's" crimes, put on trial
for them, or convicted of them. As such, he stood trial for earlier,
unrelated crimes of robbery and sexual offenses and sentence
to life in prison. In 1973 he was found stabbed to death in a
prison infirmary bed.
