CCOLE, Nat King (1919-1965). American singer, pianist and actor. First black to host a TV show. On April 10, 1965 he performed before an all white audience. He was attacked and knocked down by a group of white men.. One man near the front row yelled “Negro Go Home.” During his time, his popularity was second to Frank Sinatra. He made over 100 singles with his two best known “Ramblin Rose” and “Unforgettable.” Fabulous folding post card, when opened measures appx. 5”x12.” Advertisement at the Sands, Las Vegas, for two shows for Nat King Cole. Nice smiling portrait of Cole. He has inscribed and signed using a ball point pen: “For Jeff Nat King Cole.” A very nice full name signature. In very fine condition....$450.00
